JETBOY: Cover Of JOHNNY CASH's 'Folsom Prison Blues' Released To Radio

JETBOY's cover of JOHNNY CASH's "Folsom Prison Blues", will be available to radio stations worldwide starting today (June 4). The single will be released via Radiosubmit.com a revolutionary, cheaper, way for artists and radio stations to hear and promote new tunes. The process is simple: artists sign up with the site, upload high-quality tunes, and radio stations across the world download the material and play it on their stations. Radiosubmit.com verifies the legitimacy of the radio stations, then issues the station a password. This is a free service to radio stations and allows them to search for artists, songs and albums, and provides access to download these songs for free (downloads are for radio stations only). JETBOY has also re-released a new version of its hit "Feel The Shake".

"Folsom Prison Blues" and "Feel The Shake" are both featured on the group's new release, "The Glam Years", which includes a DVD of a 1986 concert at Los Angeles' legendary Whisky a Go-Go (featuring a chock-full of extra interviews and photos) as well as a 21-track CD of the group's greatest hits.

"Folsom Prison Blues" is one of the most notorious songs of the legendary JOHNNY CASH, originally recorded in 1956 and released by Sun Records in 1957. CASH received uproarious applause and emphatic whistles as he played "Folsom Prison Blues" during a live concert for inmates at San Quentin State Prison on February 24, 1969. It's this timeless spirit of rebellion and anti-conformity that inspired JETBOY to release their own version of the famous tune.
